Oporto's Christmas Tree

Hi guys,

As promised I'll share with you stuff about the 2016 Oporto's Christmas Tree.

This is all I could capture because it was almost 2AM and the lights were turned off.

I hope I can go with more time to share it with you.

Have a nice weekend.

Discovering Portugal - Amarante

Hi friends,

Today I want to share with all of you my micro trip to Amarante, a small town 60km of Oporto.

It's an old town famous by "Gonçalo de Amarante", or "São Gonçalo", a saint that old single ladies used to pray in order to get married.

Due to that fact in Amarante you can find the "Bolo of São Gonçalo" cake that have a curious form.

You can find more about São Gonçalo and the cake here and here.

I really enjoyed my afternoon there. It remembers me old medieval cities, with an unique athmosphere, maybe because of the landscape. You can find houses nearby the Tâmega river.
It's a really good place to go visit.
I was sad because I've only been there for 2 or 3 hours, but in one day you can visit all the atractions the city can offer.

More about Amarante in it's official website. Check here.

Now I leave you with some pictures of that afternoon.

Enjoy.

See you next time.

Oporto - Boavista and Shopping Brasilia

Hi people,

Once again I want to share with you some pictures of Oporto. This time around "Rotunda da Boavista" or "Praça Mouzinho de Albuquerque" who was a soldier who fought in Africa.

At the center of the square you can see a tall monument that symbolizes the victory of Portugal to the French during the French Invasions.

In this square you can also find "Casa da Musica", an iconic concert hall designed by Rem Koolhaas.
You can find more about Casa da Música here

Since I was there, I decided to visit the first Shopping Centre in Oporto: Shopping Brasília.
This year was it's 40th birthday. Nowadays is not what it used to be, actualy is a bit sad to see what was one of the most famous spots to go shopping turning into a black hole. Let´s have hope one day this space revives again.

See you next time guys.

Oporto (once again)

Hi guys,

Last week we had a National Holiday to celebrate the Independence Day during the time the Spanish took over control of Portugal.

Therefore, I decided to walk around my lovely city of Oporto and I took some pictures of Aliados Avenue, one of the most charismatic avenues in our city: it has the most important portuguese banks, the City Hall and so on...

Here are some pictures of that day. As you will see, we have already Oporto's Christmas Tree, I promise I'll show you night shots of it.

Enjoy :)

See you next time.

My Hometown

Hi guys,

So, it's been a while since I came here. A lot has happened to me in this past 4 months: some good stuff and some not so good stuff, but anyway life goes on and we need to carry on. That's what make us adults.

I don't have nothing in particular to share with you, so, as an attempting to start again posting new thingns in here I'll bring some pictures of the "symbol" of my hometown, wich is Gondomar, an Oporto suburb.

It's called Monte Crasto and it's a mount in the middle of nothing but it has beautiful landscapes to Oporto, Gondomar and other cities.

And because it's Autumn, there are a lot of colour, so, even I don't have a lot to share, here are some pitcures of the place:

Hope you like it.

Please feel free to coment and correct my English :)

See you next time.
